A feeling of nostalgia came over me as I helped my granddaughter get dressed the other day in a delightful outfit made by Girl Charlee. I was suddenly transported back to the late 50s/early 60s and I remembered my mother helping me get dressed in outfits that were much like the one Natalie wore. "This is like something Nana used to wear when she was a little girl," I said to my three and a half year old granddaughter.

Natalie's eyes grew round and wide with astonishment as she tried to envision her Nana as a little girl. Her gleeful giggle filled her bedroom as I told her Mum, my mother and Natalie's great-grandmother, used to make tops for me like the one Natalie was wearing. Natalie was dressed in a vintage outfit from Girl Charlee that was an almost exact replica of one I wore decades ago. The vintage inspired floral cotton gaucho pants and the lace trimmed floral print peasant style top was made with much attention to detail. The colors and print used in Girl Charlee's designs are definitely retro, but the look is without doubt for today's child.
