Jessica Denay Print E-mail

Jessica Denay From the sound of its name, it's understandable why anyone could think Hot Moms Club is an exclusionary group just for the size double zero crowd who look like they wake up ready for a magazine cover shoot.

But folks with thoughts like those, definitely have the wrong idea.

Jessica Denay, mom to six year old Gabe, founder of Hot Moms Club and author of The Hot Mom's Handbook: Moms Have More Fun is succeeding at redefine society's beliefs on how a woman should look once she becomes a mother. Or as Denay says quite tongue in cheek, she's trying to "throw the mommy stereotypes out the mini-van window."

jessicadenaywithgabeandjoy With over 30,000 members nationwide in her club, moms across the country are happily including the club's signature "hot mom" shirt into their wardrobe and embracing Denay's mission.

It's hard to believe this all started in Spring 2005 and in just a little over a year, a Hot Moms Club theme song has been recorded by Alex Woodard (click here to listen), her first book has been written and published (as the first hardcover released by Thomas Nelson publishing imprint, Naked Ink), Joes Jeans named a jeans style after her company (The Hot Mom), satellite radio and television shows are in the works and her next book is already being worked on.

Hot Mom's Handbook But back to this book - The Hot Mom's Handbook has been doing very well on Amazon and hasn't stopped. Her book launch tour started with a kid themed party in April at Nana's Garden (of which Savvy Mommy created the party's celebrity acclaimed swag bags) and boasted celebrity moms in attendance. Not two weeks later, Jessica was in Manhattan for her New York book launch on Madison Avenue. And she even did a reading at Coliseum Books in Manhattan a few days later as part of the Mamapalooza mom authors line up.

Has Denay stopped touring? Not yet. She's recently embarked on a promotional mini book tour in Canada. And of course, hitting The Today Show with actress Lauren Holly, who wrote the foreword to The Hot Mom's Handbook was expected. But only a Hot Mom would stop by The Today Show to promote her book and convince them to host a fashion show featuring real mom models wearing designer clothing -- to further prove moms really don't have to live in ponytails and old sweats.
