Question
Dear Savvy Mommy, AnswerMolly Gold, family scheduling expert, mother of three busy kids and creator of GO MOM! family planners graciously answers this question - Hi Jenny, Managing two little boys and an active life can be very stressful. But know in your heart that it can also be SO much fun and truly a blessing any way you look at it. Consider three easy steps to take your anxiety down and let your joy come in: Prioritize your list: when making the lists of tasks ahead, break them down into TO CALL, TO DO, and TO BUY. By classifying them into related actions, you will get a clear picture of what you can reasonably accomplish in the time you give the task. Spreading and delegating the work: Use a portable, mom-oriented calendar system to create one central location for all things related to your family schedule. When you note commitments for all family members, you will quickly see where you are overscheduled need to spread things out and ask your family and friends to help you when needed. Make measurable benchmarks: Map out projects or ongoing but necessary home management chores so you can forget what you aren't working on today until it comes up in your calendar. When you are on a rotation, you can let the process take you where you need to go. If you have a question, you would like to see answered here, send an email and a leading mom expert in the appropriate field will respond to it in the Ask Savvy Mommy section. Remember to include your first name, city and state. < prev Fitness during third trimester | Sibling Adjusting to a Newborn next > |
