This St. Patrick's Day let's go green... but not just at the famous St. Patrick's Day parade down Fifth Avenue!
Savvy Mommy Victoria Pericon is talking about going green in the various rooms of the home! Families can help the environment in small ways and make their house a little more earth friendly as they go green. There is a misconception that in order to enjoy the benefits of a healthy, environmentally conscious lifestyle, you have to completely renovate your home but there are plenty of easy ways to implement a green lifestyle inside your home.
You will find it simple to go green when you incorporate any of these products in your household. Go ahead, show your kids you care and it's good to be green.
Here are the environmentally friendly products for the home shown on CBS 2 News Saturday Morning with Cindy Hsu and Kirsten Cole -
*rescheduled and shown on March 24, 2007 with Deborah Garcia (WATCH VIDEO)

Nalgene – Grip ‘n Gulp
Did you know that 20 billion water bottles were sent to the landfill last year -- more than double what it was in 2001! Making all the bottles for the US uses more than 50 million gallons of oil annually -- enough to fill up 100,000 cars for a year!
Nalgene, the legendary water bottle company considered an American icon especially in the outdoor world, has an array of bottles for various activities and now a special bottle called Grip ‘n Gulp - especially for children.
Since toddlers may have a little trouble carrying the standard sized Nalgene bottle, this 12 oz Grip ‘n Gulp is perfect creation because it's a leak proof, odor proof and durable product that doesn't need constant replacement (like sippy cups!) and can be turned into a small sized Nalgene bottle by picking up a top from Nalgene.
